Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? There was a FAT16 filesystem on the card, and like I said the card didn’t get accepted in linux but in vista. To those complaining about old bugs not being fixed, if possible try providing the actual problematic hardware to developers, that generally mirco them motivation to fix the problems.

Comment on this change optional. But still, it really is a shame that this shows up one of the flaws in open-source development, that nobody really wants to work on the non-sexy stuff! Hangs continuously – and fails to move past the detection of the card reader.

Multimedia Card Reader don’t work in Ubuntu 9. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.

Sukochev Roman, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn’t been any activity in it recently. Maybe it doesn’t work because it is not exactly the same card I presume that this situation on my PC is linked to this bug.
